A major focal point of my work from home business is my keyword focused quality article marketing with a strong attention to my backlinking.

Guest Bloggers: The first thing I did when I realized I was in trouble was to look for guest bloggers and that has worked really well, just not for all my niches, so I still had to find another way to get good content.

Article Directories: I thought about using articles from article directories like EzineArticles.com but the content wasn’t unique to my site, so I moved on.

Article Networks: My next thought had me checking out article networks. I understood that article networks allowed spintax code to be used so that more unique articles could be published by authors. Here is a short list of the networks I joined:

Free Doesn’t Always Mean There’s No Cost

I couldn’t believe some of the poor quality articles I was seeing. I seems that a lot of authors have become experts at writing crap articles. I was spending a lot of time looking but sadly was rejecting more than 90% of all the articles.

What the heck was up with that? These articles I was rejecting had two problems. First the articles had no keyword focus and secondly a lot of them had non relevant links. These are two excellent reasons for rejecting articles, although very time consuming and frustrating.

Saving Time By Reading Only The Titles

It didn’t take long before I caught on to the fact that most of the poor quality articles were a result of auto spinning. I started looking at the titles of the articles and rejecting then based on whether they were well written and keyworded, otherwise I rejected them.

This one step started saving me a tremendous amount of time and it makes sense to me. If the title has been spun to death you can be sure the article has as well. It’s just as simple as authors going for quantity over quality.

Using Article Spinners To Kill Articles

It’s sad to see such potential killed by a little button that say something like, Auto Replace Synonyms or Auto Spin Content.

I dedicate most of Monday thru Friday to article marketing because it works so well. I use The Best Spinner as my article spinner to assist in the rewriting process. It can help me create many unique articles from just one and I can do it in record time.

First Is Niche Research: I need to know which niches I can expect to rank in enough to make some money. Then, once I have one, it’s on to finding the best keywords to base my articles on.

I’m Not Destroying My PageRank Using Crap Articles

I work hard and earn the page rank 3 and 4 my sites have. I am not about to start accepting below average articles just for the sake of more content. But it takes so much time scanning and rejecting so many articles.

Well I have figured out something that has saved me hours a day. I no longer look at the body of each and every article. The first thing I check is the title. If it’s not well written and keyworded I don’t want it and it gets rejected.

Instead of wasting tow minutes on an article I take just two seconds to see if I am going to look at the rest of the article.

Using the example from above you can see how quickly a choice can be made. Look at both titles and tell me if you would take the time to look at both articles.

Personally I would look at the first title’s article body but would instantly click reject on the second.

So for me the KEY to my article marketing success is proper KEYwords usage in the title, article body and text links. Once that’s spot on I then put The Best Spinner to work rewriting each article without losing any keyword focus or density.

It’s a fact that article marketing can lead to big money but for most it just leads to frustration because most don’t understand article writing and marketing.

Tip #1 – Get The Attention Of Your Readers

If you can’t get your readers to read your articles you’re doing something wrong. It’s most important to keep your visitors attention.

Avoid distraction that draw their attention elsewhere like blinking banners, unless that’s your goal.

One method I use to keep readers reading all the way to the click is to tell a captivating yet relevant story. It works to keep me reading on other sites.

This may be a little tougher for the newbie but using real life testimonials work great. They tend to work even better when it’s a name recognized by the reader.

Tip #2 – It Begins By Creating A Catchy Title

I see so many titles that just say a lot without saying anything. Those article titles don’t grab my interest and usually I just skip to the next article title as there are quite often so many to choose from.

Keep titles short, keyworded and relevant to the article. Never mislead your visitor with a title that doesn’t match the content.

Making your titles too long don’t help them in the search engines as it just decreased the keyword density for your title.

It works well to use Top 5 or Top 10 lists. People tend to gravitate to those kind of articles. My article title for this article does just that.

Tip #3 – Write Articles Using Hot Topics

Most of us like reading niche related hot topics. I get a lot more traffic from search engines for my top 5 lists.

Hot topics will depend on your niche of course and it’s not good to get off topic just so you can talk about a hot topic. Try your best to stay in your niche.

What great things are going on in your niche, now or in the near future? Write about it.

You can follow others to keep up with niche related hot topics. I like to scan the newspaper, online or offline to find those topics my readers would be interested in.

Tip #4 – Use That Spell & Grammar Checker

I can’t stand reading an article full of errors, spelling or grammar and will leave the site to find a better article.

If someone can’t be bothered taking the few minutes it takes to click the spell check button I can’t be bothered reading it, plain and simple.

The worst articles I seem to find are articles that have been spun with article spinners like my favourite, article spinners. The thing is I use article spinners and end up with quality articles.

When you are spinning articles you can come up with lots of articles to publish but you need to spell check, grammar check and have someone proofread your finished article, before publishing it.

Tip #5 – I Like Writing From Personal Experience

The articles I write from the heart or personal experience seem to get a whole lot more attention that those that are just from the brain as they can be a little dry.

Using the story writing strategy I can write articles for my niches all day long. The thing is I have a few blogs in niches I don’t know very well. For these I find PLR articles that one topic and well written, then I just rewrite them to make them mine.

Even though I rewrite the PLR articles I find I do much better and make more money with the articles that come from the heart, personal experience. I can usually tell by the number of comments I get compared to articles I don’t get comments on.

You will have heard (if not, you will) of the scary “Google penalty” for “duplicate content.” Appears that everyone has a viewpoint.

But, truth is, only Google’s opinion matters and guess what? It says that there isn’t any Google Duplicate Content Penalty.

That said, if you post the identical articles to hundreds of article submission directories Google does try to determine the original version of the article and rank it while disregarding the others (and maybe not counting links from them) utilizing its filters.

Now, naturally, you do not need that to occur, so here is the solution: use automation to make different, unique versions of your article (called “spinning”), then post a completely unique version in each article directory submission.

Luckily, you can get article submission software or subscribe to excellent services which will create similar but different versions of an article and post them to article submission directories. The key to strategic article marketing is to use automation properly and consistently.

First, remember that what goes in, comes out. “Garbage-in, garbage-out; quality-in, quality-out.” Take the time to do things properly and create articles that people will want to read and use, thereby bringing site traffic and back links.

What’s Article “spinning?”

Simply, using the capability of a programme to substitute words, sentences, or entire paragraphs and create many unique versions from one base article.

For most impressive results with your article writing technique, we advocate that you

1. Write articles that are 300-600 words in length separated into at least 5 paragraphs.
2. Using technology, spin words in each sentence and spin sentences, as well.
3. Create at least 5 different headlines for your article.
4. Spin words within every headline.
5. Put your primary keyword within the first 25 words of the text, then in the middle, and also towards the end. Don’t overuse it; never surpass 2% of keyword density.
